I ordered this battery at the same time I purchased a Sony DSC-TX1. I had heard reviews that I would need a spare battery and I didn't know if the reason was because of the battery's life or if it was because of the camera's appetite. But whatever the case is, this battery, in my honest opinion, is a lot better than the one that comes in the box with the camera. This is just because instead of a picture that shows the battery's life bar it actually has the remaining amount of time left. Besides that, they both seem to have the same amount of battery life.
