The low price and a Canon name were the reason I bought this filter. However, this is the heaviest 77 mm filter with thickest frame I have ever seen. The copy I received had a thin layer of dirt and looked very dirty. I tried every way I could to clean it but failed so I returned it. Regardless the dirt (perhaps the copy I received was used?), I don't like it simply because of the weight and the thick frame. I bought a Sigma DG (multi-coated) for my Canon EF 17-40mm L lens and a B+W (not multi-coated) for my Canon EF 24-105mm L lens. I paid a little more for the Sigma and B+W but they are much better built.Get more detail about Canon 77mm UV Haze.
